I am a Freshman and want to live at Honors Academic Village, what do I need to do?
A first time freshman, interested in living on-campus at The University of Toledo is responsible for submitting a total of $140 in deposit and application fees. The deposit and fees are as follows: $100 Enrollment Deposit (Submitted directly to The University of Toledo here and only applicable to Freshmen) and a $40 Housing Application Fee.
I have submitted my Honors Academic Village housing application and paid all of my required deposits and fees, is my Honors Academic Village housing space reserved?
A housing space is reserved only after a fully executed Lease Agreement has been returned to Honors Academic Village.
What if I have submitted my Honors Academic Village housing application, but have not yet submitted my University of Toledo Enrollment Deposit
A first time freshman is required to submit their University of Toledo Enrollment Deposit prior to the processing of any on-campus housing application. If a first time freshman submits an Honors Academic Village housing application prior to payment of their University of ToledoEnrollment Deposit, his/her housing application will be placed on hold until payment has been submitted. An email will be sent to the applicant and guarantor informing them of the pending Enrollment Deposit. If you have not already done so, you may submit your University of Toledo Enrollment Deposit here. After login, click the “New Students” link to submit your Enrollment Deposit.

What is an individual lease?
An individual lease provides each resident with their own separate lease agreement and responsibility for only his/her monthly rent installment and applicable utility and parking charges. By signing an individual lease, you are only taking responsibility for your rent installment and lease terms and will not be held liable for any delinquent amounts owed by your roommate(s).
Is there on-site professional management and maintenance staff?
We're always on duty. Our community is staffed 24/7 with an on-site professional staff. Our property's staff is experienced and skilled in addressing all of your needs. Our local general manager is supported by leasing, business, and maintenance personnel along with our student staff of community assistants.
What can I expect on move-in day?
Move-In Day is the day that your lease contract begins, and the first day that you may pick up keys to your apartment. Typically, all new residents will be moving in on the same day, so expect a lot of activity. The office will have staff members and signs posted to help facilitate a smooth move-in. You will be mailed a "Welcome" letter prior to move-in that will provide you with detailed information about what to expect.
Is after hours staffing and maintenance available?
Yes, after hours Community Assistants will live on site and after hours maintenance will be available in the care of a maintenance emergency.
Is there an on-site professional management and maintenance staff?

Can I setup recurring payments?
Yes! Save time in the future and never miss a rental installment by setting up recurring payments. You just need a few minutes and your checking account or card info to setup payments. Click here to login to the Community Portal and get started.
How can I make my rent payment?
We accept credit cards, debit cards and ACH payments online through our Resident Portal. We are unable to accept cash.
Will my financial aid funds credit towards my Honors Academic Village rent amount?
Yes, within normal Financial Aid guidelines, students will be able to apply most financial aid monies that may be used towards other on-campus residence halls towards Honors Academic Village. A small percentage of private scholarships may not be applicable at Honors Academic Village. For additional information regarding your specific financial aid funds (Grants, Scholarships, Student Loans, etc.) you may contact the Office of Financial Aid at, (419) 530-8700 or via e-mail utfinaid@utoledo.edu.
Are there insurance requirements for signing a lease at the community?
Renters insurance is not required but highly recommended. Coverage for your personal belongings is not included as part of your Lease Agreement. Renters insurance can provide coverage for loss or damage to your personal belongings (including fire, theft, or natural causes).

Can I request specific roommates?
Yes! You can search for and match with specific roommates in the RoomSync app. Change your mind? No problem! You can modify your matches if your preferences change up until the matching period close date.
Do you have a roommate matching service?
Yes! Our roommate matching program is powered by RoomSync–a roommate matching app. You will have the opportunity to create a personal profile, search, filter, chat and match with other residents who will be living in the community. You decide what matters most when narrowing down your search. Want a roommate with the same major? You got it! Prefer to live with someone who goes to bed early? No problem! Looking for a roommate who enjoys college football? No sweat! You control your search and matching criteria to find the perfect roommate.
Am I allowed to request a specific unit?
You can list your preferences on your housing application, and we will do our best to place you in the unit that fits those requests. All requests are served on a first-come, first-served basis and are taken in order based on the date your lease was received.
