FAQs
Can you accommodate a dietary restricted environment?
Although we strive to create a healthy environment, we are unable to collect medical/religious-related information to ensure residents will comply with a certain dietary environment.
Can you accommodate a first floor request?
We are able to accept requests, however we are limited in accommodating based on the number of first floor apartments.
Can you accommodate a nut free environment?
Although we strive to create a healthy environment, we are unable to ensure residents will comply with nut allergy precautions. Therefore, it is important that you communicate with your roommates the severity of your allergy.
Can you accommodate a request not to live with an assistance animal?
We are able to accept a request for an animal-free apartment. It is important that the request be submitted by selecting “yes” under the “accommodation needed” section on the Dorms registration page to ensure we are able to make necessary changes.
Can you accommodate a single private apartment?
Flamingo Crossings Village does not provide a private apartment floor plan. Should you need a private apartment, we will not be able to accommodate that request and you should instead secure your own housing accommodations. Please make sure to opt out of Program housing during DORMS registration.
Can you accommodate a single private bedroom and or bathroom?
Floor plans can be preferenced during registration. While we make every attempt to honor preferences, we are not always able to grant top selection(s). Several variables factor into placing residents in apartments. Four-bedroom apartments are extremely limited in number. Should you need a private bedroom and/or bathroom, you will need to opt out of Program housing during DORMS registration and secure your own housing.
Can you accommodate an ADA accessible apartment?
Flamingo Crossings Village offers various modified apartments to meet accessible needs. Please communicate any needs prior to arrival by selecting “yes” under the “accommodation needed” section on the Dorms registration page.
Can you accommodate animals?
Approved assistance animals consistent with the Fair Housing Act (FHA) guidelines are welcomed at Flamingo Crossings Village. Please be sure to select “yes” under the “accommodation needed” section on the Dorms registration page so your request can be reviewed.
Can you accommodate parking?
Parking spots are sold on a first-come first-served basis. If you are in need of an accommodated parking spot, please be sure to select “yes” under the “accommodation needed” section on the Dorms registration page so your request can be reviewed. Requests for accommodations will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Please understand that parking is subject to availability and you are not guaranteed a parking spot. Accessible transportation is provided to and from work.
Can you accommodate roommate preferences?
Roommate preferences are offered during select times of the arrival season. Depending on availability, we may or may not be able to accommodate a roommate preference. Roommate preferences are not accepted outside of the registration period.

What is a reasonable accommodation?
A reasonable accommodation under the Fair Housing Act (FHA) is a change, exception, or adjustment to a rule, policy, practice, or service that may be necessary for a person with disabilities to have an equal opportunity to use and enjoy a dwelling, including public and common use spaces, or to fulfill their program obligations. Please note that the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) often refers to these types of accommodations as “modifications.”
What is an individual lease?
An individual lease provides each resident with their own separate lease agreement and responsibility for only their rental installments and applicable utility and parking charges. By signing an individual lease, you are only taking responsibility for your rental installments and lease terms and will not be held liable for any delinquent amounts owed by your roommate(s).
Is insurance coverage for my belongings included as part of my Lease Agreement?
Coverage for your personal belongings is not included as part of your Lease Agreement. Renters insurance can provide coverage for loss or damage to your personal belongings (including fire, theft, or natural causes). Renters insurance is not required but highly recommended. Please click here for more information.
Is Flamingo Crossings Village pet friendly?
While we love furry friends and family, Flamingo Crossings Village does not allow pets.
What precautions have you implemented in response to COVID-19?
The well-being of our residents and team members are very important to us. In response to COVID-19, we’ve created a new “Be safe. Be smart. Do your part.™” program, our community disinfection and resident responsibility initiative, in collaboration with RB, the makers of Lysol and global leaders in hygiene. Together, we’ve overhauled our cleaning protocols and trained our staff on the products and disinfecting methods to use in helping to mitigate pathogens and developed healthy living resources for residents. We also developed a first-of-its-kind touchpoint analysis and mitigation process for community amenities, which helped inform us on how to raise awareness among staff and residents regarding necessary preventative measures. You’ll see community signage, Nano septic antimicrobial stickers on high-touchpoint areas and hand sanitization stations throughout the community.
Additionally, we’ve implemented digital move-in / move-out processes to minimize personal contact.
