Emory University | Graduate & Professional Housing
Through a competitive procurement process, Emory University selected American Campus Communities to develop a purpose-built student housing community to address the demand for affordable graduate housing closer to campus. The community is envisioned as a multi-phase housing initiative, with the first phase of 535 beds opening in Fall 2024 and the potential for an additional 500 beds delivered by 2027.
Built for Advanced Academics
Located at the edge of campus near many of Emory’s graduate programs, the community is designed for graduate and professional students in studios. It offers one- and two-bedroom apartments, as well as a 405-space parking garage, 1,000 square feet of retail and extensive bicycle, pedestrian and transit access. A 6,000-square-foot community center includes a social lounge, fitness, kitchen, gaming area and offices, and outdoor amenities feature a central plaza with study areas, a recreational courtyard with open lawn and a multi-use trail connecting to campus. The project is all-electric and designed to achieve LEED Gold certification.
Long-term Public-private Partnership
ACC serves as developer and construction manager for the project, which was financed by Emory University. ACC will provide the full scope of management services.
